All eyes are on designer Peter Copping who’s now to take the legacy of the legendary Oscar de la Renta designing the collections under his name. Spring 2017 looks very Oscar with the sublime Oscar de la Renta Resort 2017 collection. Copping who studied fashion at the prestigious Central Saint Martin in London has graduated at the Royal College of Art and worked at celebrated houses such as Christian Lacroix in Paris, as well as Sonia Rykiel and later on for more than a decade at the Louis Vuitton where he worked on the women’s collection as studio director during the maison’s Marc Jacobs era. Copping also took the artistic director position at Nina Ricci back in 2009, his position at Oscar de la Renta opened up in 2014 where selected by Mr. de la Renta himself was in charge of the direction of the house on multiple ventures. With the passing of Mr. Oscar de la Renta fall winter 2015.16 collection was the first collection by Peter Copping for at the New York based label.

While the collection is in its essence a Spring 2017 line, the magazines and brands are nevertheless still into Resort / Cruise categorization, going along with the moment we are taking on the Resort 2017 category.
