This collection can be described as a multifaceted, contemporary contemplation of freedom, characterized by Johanna Perret and Tutia Schaad‘s eternal optimism. Aeshetics and concept of the collection are shaped by the variety of influences from the European background of the label. The label stays true to its preference for architectural silhouettes, clean cuts and daring draperies, the shapes appear slightly more formfitting this season though. What makes those looks so special and stays in mind is this collections’ very special detail- awareness, for instance oversized turtleneck sweaters radiate a contemporary yet chic approach.

Fabric- wise, exquisite cashmere and Crêpe de Chine are paired with shimmering velvet and metallic fabrics. Thus, a very interesting fabric mix emerges. One of our favourite pieces of the collection is a velvet suit in emerald green with a slightly longer jacket which is focused on the waist that looks simply sophisticated yet very wearable. But also a long, casual wool coat that is paired with a lightweight trousers definitely deserves devotion.
The colour palette consists of cool, sophisticated shades of blue and lilac that are contrasted with earthy yellow, beige, red and gold nuances. That colour choice contributes to an overall image that is characterized by aesthetic audacity and a subtle sense for perfection.
This season’s prints pick up on a multitude of associative relations to life and appear in a very artistically way:
they are ranging from everyday objets trouvés to 3D-printed sculptures by artist Kwi Hae Kim. Moreover the prints of this collection are simplified to their silhouettes and layered, creating abstract, suggestive graphics. Incredibly inspiring!
In addition to those outstanding outfits, the hair of the models is worn open and with middle parting, the make- up is kept natural with emphasized eyebrows. Fluffy handbags underline the feelgood factor of this collection.
We left the show with lots of new inspirations and impressions and will definitely keep an eye on Perret Schaad and on all upcoming collections!
