Fashion designer Anais Mak unveiled Jourden‘s Resort 2018 womenswear collection that plays with contradictions and revolves around the themes of sophisticated novelty versus easy comfort.
Resort 2018 Collections
“Mak subverted refined, feminine pieces in an original way that borders on fetish. The new hem lengths, such as pleated micro-mini skirts and ankle dresses, optimise accessibility and wearability particularly for transitional dressing.
Loosely influenced by an 80s palette, the floral crochet pieces interpreted with a fitted silhouette and gaping threads, are squarely daring, not frumpy. Mak also introduced a psychedelic metallic pattern on light weight chroma, which carry the volume of dramatic gathered details and sleeves in a welcomingly bizarre manner. Gel stripes switched to a refreshing palette of champagne, white and platinum“
