Discover Yanina Couture Autumn Winter 2018/2019 couture collection, presented during the Paris Haute Couture Week. Inspired by the love for traditions of the Russian people and the love for French chic, the collection mixes Peter’s times, the Revolution, Katherine the Great, young Komsomols, modest peasant women, and the one thing that unites Russian beauties of all times – the desire to dress up no matter what.

I am sure that by reviving traditions of the past, of our heritage, we are creating a new trend. I would like that looking at this collection one imagines Russia and the great history of our state. Every look of this collection makes one think of Russia. I tried to create an exquisite image in which every woman of the world will feel confident and happy. Because beauty does not need translation; itis an international language. But I am proud that the roots of it stem from Russia. – Yulia Yanina

COUTURE COLLECTIONS

Winter is the fashion house’s favourite season. This collection is composed mostly of suits and Yanina signature dresses with fitted waists and full skirts. Jackets and coats are made from mink, sable and faux fur. Traditional for peasants’ wardrobe sheepskins with incredible embroidery are elevated to the level of chic. Fabrics include velvet, taffeta, wool, leather and main colours of the collection are black, grey, wine, emerald.

Embroideries are since the beginning of the Fashion House as part of its DNA, this FW 1819 season they are inspired by the traditional Russian patterns. The house used a variety of technics – hand-embroidered simple peasants’ patterns, patchwork, leather lace, and lastly sculptural and volume trim embroidery of baroque patterns. The evening block reminds one of sparkling in gold and silver gowns of the Tsars. Special attention is paid to accessories and headpieces. One can find here the Russian fur hats, girlish handkerchiefs, incredibly beautiful, hand-knitted headpieces, which reminds one of the Kokoshniks Russian ceremonials. Velvet stockings and regal buckles on the shoes give the silhouette a more confident and luxurious look. – from Yanina Couture
