BOSS Celebrates Chinese Mythology with New Capsule Collection

BOSS has launched its latest capsule collection, “Creation of the Gods,” in collaboration with the acclaimed Chinese film trilogy of the same name. Timed to mark the transformative Year of the Snake, the collection celebrates the richness of Chinese mythology, combining timeless fashion with modern creativity. Featuring actor Li Yunrui, a lead in Creation of the Gods I: Kingdom of Storms, the campaign honors traditional aesthetics while embracing a forward-thinking vision.

CAPSULE COLLECTIONS

The capsule centers around a striking red, black, and gold palette, drawing inspiration from the Shang and Zhou dynasties’ iconic bronzeware. Totem motifs and intricate embroidery elevate the BOSS logo and Double-B monogram, blending traditional elements with contemporary design. This collection follows BOSS’s previous tribute to Chinese calligraphy, further deepening the brand’s engagement with cultural heritage and its commitment to bringing Chinese artistry to global audiences.

The range includes a comprehensive selection of men’s, women’s, and children’s pieces, offering a wardrobe for all occasions. Highlights include suede and leather varsity jackets with bronze-inspired embroidery, hoodies adorned with Taotie motifs, and quilted jackets with metallic logos. For women, merino wool cardigans, elegant wide-leg jeans, and sweatshirts with embroidered trims blend modern silhouettes with heritage details. Children’s unisex sweatshirts complete the collection, perfect for creating coordinated family looks.

Li Yunrui leads the campaign, which captures the spirit of the collection in a cinematic setting. Shot at Shanghai’s Dolby Auditorium in the Film Art Center, the visuals bring the mythical world of Creation of the Gods to life.

With the Spring Festival period approaching, the collaboration also coincides with the anticipated release of Creation of the Gods II on January 29, 2025. The partnership underscores BOSS’s dedication to intertwining cultural storytelling with fashion, positioning the capsule as both a celebration of heritage and a fresh expression of contemporary style. The “Creation of the Gods” capsule is now available worldwide at select BOSS stores and online.
