Sportswear house Nike is expanding its exclusive “Black Label” series with the release of the Nike Sabrina 2 “Black Label”, a refined take on Sabrina Ionescu’s signature sneaker. This special edition, timed for NBA All-Star Weekend 2025, incorporates premium materials and a limited production run, reinforcing its status as a collector’s piece.

SNEAKERS

The Nike Sabrina 2 “Black Label” features a chainlink mesh upper, offering enhanced breathability without compromising durability. This mesh base is complemented by chenille overlays on the Swoosh, eyestay, and tongue, adding dimension and a tactile richness. A metallic lateral bar on the midsole emphasizes exclusivity, marking the sneaker’s limited release of 1,997 pairs, a nod to Ionescu’s birth year.

A metallic black Swoosh appears on the medial side, contrasting with the overall muted tones. The left shoe’s tongue swaps Ionescu’s standard logo for a cursive “B” script, reinforcing the shoe’s elevated aesthetic. Mint Foam accents, a subtle reference to the New York Liberty, appear on select branding elements, adding a personal connection to Ionescu’s WNBA legacy.

Built for agility, the Sabrina 2 Black Label sneaker maintains the low-profile silhouette that made the original model a favorite among guards. The midsole cushioning system provides responsive energy return, ensuring comfort during quick directional changes. A durable rubber outsole with multidirectional traction zones supports grip and stability on various court surfaces.

Nike’s Black Label series places emphasis on premium materials and elevated craftsmanship while retaining elite performance features. The Sabrina 2 continues this approach, striking a balance between functionality and aesthetics.

The Nike Sabrina 2 “Black Label” will be available on February 14, 2025, coinciding with NBA All-Star Weekend. Pairs will release via Nike SNKRS and select retailers, with a retail price expected to be $150. Each pair of the Nike Sabrina 2 Black Label arrives in a special black fold-out box, a signature feature of the collection.
