Matthew M. Williams is stepping back into the spotlight with the debut of his new namesake clothing brand during Paris Men’s Fashion Week, set for June 24 to 29, 2025. Known for his work at 1017 ALYX 9SM and his tenure at Givenchy, Williams now turns his focus toward an independent venture that aims to redefine his signature approach to fashion outside the confines of a heritage house.

The upcoming Spring Summer 2026 season marks a critical shift for the American designer. After parting ways with Givenchy in early 2024, Williams has spent the past year refining his vision. This new project will be his first full-scale offering since the departure, and expectations are already high. The collection will include both menswear and womenswear, and will debut at the Seiya Nakamura showroom in Paris, an industry space that also houses brands like Craig Green, Taiga Takahashi, Arpa Studio, and Song for the Mute.

Williams’ creative language has long combined engineered precision with utilitarian grit. Whether through ALYX’s industrial rollercoaster buckles or the sharply structured tailoring at Givenchy, his work speaks to a future-oriented vision rooted in material clarity. The new line is expected to continue this approach with an emphasis on craftsmanship and versatility. Though details remain under wraps, buyers will have access to the collection during the showroom presentation, signaling a direct-to-market strategy.

By choosing Paris Men’s Fashion Week for the debut, Williams positions his label among the most influential voices in contemporary menswear. The timing is strategic: the week concludes the global menswear calendar and draws a concentrated audience of editors, stylists, and retailers. For Williams, the return to an independent label allows greater freedom to explore form, construction, and cultural references without the pressures of heritage branding.

While no formal show date has been announced, his participation already places him among a strong cohort of directional designers pushing fashion into new territories. His new work will be seen alongside brands that share his attention to form and subculture, suggesting a renewed focus on innovation and edge.

As Paris prepares for another season of reveals and reinventions, all eyes will be on Williams. His next chapter promises a return to creative control and a sharpened design voice, one that helped define modern luxury streetwear over the past decade. Now, under his own name, he begins again.
