Nike has unveiled the KD18 Aunt Pearl, the latest chapter in Kevin Durant’s signature line that honors his late Aunt Pearl and raises awareness for breast cancer research. First introduced with the KD4 in 2012, the “Aunt Pearl” colorway has become an annual tribute. Each edition carries forward Durant’s personal dedication while supporting the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, strengthening the link between performance footwear and charitable impact.
The KD18 Aunt Pearl continues this tradition with updated technology designed for high-level play. A large forefoot Air Zoom unit drives responsiveness during quick cuts and explosive bursts, while a layer of Cushlon foam softens landings and preserves energy into the later stages of a game. At the heel, Nike Air cushioning adds lift, while a plastic plate underfoot flexes with movement, maintaining balance between speed and stability.
The model prioritizes comfort and breathability through an upper crafted from open-holed sandwich mesh. The lightweight structure reduces excess weight while encouraging airflow under pressure. For containment, a durable plastic cage wraps both sides of the foot, with adjustable firmness that molds to the player’s stride. These features ensure the shoe maintains stability without compromising agility.
This year’s colorway expands on the tribute’s signature pink palette with floral graphics inspired by the Air Terra Humara. Rose patterns extend to the sockliner, while Pearl Pink, Tulip Pink, Playful Pink, and Laser Fuchsia tones define the upper. Durant’s KD logo and the Nike Swoosh anchor the details. The floral midfoot cage reinforces the shoe’s symbolic narrative while adding depth to its construction.
The KD18 Aunt Pearl will retail for $170, with availability beginning October 7, 2025. Nike will release the shoe in a full size run from UK 3.5 to 13.5. By extending the “Aunt Pearl” tradition into its 13th year, Nike and Durant reaffirm a legacy built on memory, charity, and innovation.
