Lacoste introduces the Tennis Collection Melbourne 2026 ahead of the Australian Open, where Team Lacoste athletes return to hard courts under peak summer conditions in Melbourne. Designed for professional match play, the collection aligns with the demands of extended rallies, high temperatures, and physical intensity specific to the season’s opening Grand Slam.

The Australian Open opens on January 18, 2026, at Melbourne Park, launching the tennis season’s first Grand Slam. Competing in extreme heat, the Melbourne tournament tests both physical endurance and performance gear from the opening rounds. Team Lacoste athletes including Novak Djokovic, Daniil Medvedev, Grigor Dimitrov, Arthur Fils, Ugo Humbert, Arthur Cazaux, Eva Lys, and Clara Burel arrive equipped with Lacoste Tennis apparel designed to meet the demands of high-intensity match play.

Novak Djokovic opens his campaign on January 18, facing Pedro Martínez in his first match. Daniil Medvedev also plays on the opening day, where he meets Jesper de Jong. And Grigor Dimitrov is set to face Tomáš Macháč in his opening match.

Lacoste’s relationship with tennis dates back to 1933, following the introduction of the polo shirt, and continues through a focus on apparel shaped by professional competition. The Melbourne 2026 Tennis Collection reflects this continuity through construction and material choices tailored to Australian conditions.

The collection prioritizes lightness, airflow, and comfort during prolonged matches. Stretch jersey, diamond taffeta, and snag-resistant piqué form the material foundation, supported by heat-bonded construction and laser-cut detailing. Ultra Dry moisture-control technology assists temperature regulation during long exchanges on hard courts.

The Tennis Collection Melbourne 2026 delivers a complete on-court system designed for Grand Slam competition. As play begins in Melbourne, the collection aligns Lacoste’s technical apparel with the demands of professional tennis at the Australian Open.
