Burberry Taps Romeo Beckham and Wide Cast for “A Good Sport”

Burberry presents A Good Sport, its Fall 2026 campaign built around the atmosphere of a football match day. The campaign takes the spectator’s view, moving from the stands to the sidelines, the pre-game rush, and the familiar rituals that surround the sport. With Daniel Lee’s creative direction, Burberry places football fandom within the brand’s British vocabulary, from outerwear and House Check pieces to terrace-inspired styling. “Burberry has connected football fans across generations for decades,” Lee says. “It’s only right that we celebrate that this summer.”

AD CAMPAIGNS

Mario Sorrenti photographs the campaign, while Elliott Power directs the film. Bloc Party’s Banquet gives the visuals a fast, familiar charge. Jason Sudeikis, known for Ted Lasso, cheers from the stands with Romeo Beckham and Burberry brand ambassador Bright. Jodie Turner-Smith appears in the pre-game rush, while Lucy Punch queues at a no-frills burger van. Stephen Graham takes the role of a children’s Sunday league coach, bringing a sharper comic edge to the football setting.

The cast also includes Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Neelam Gill on the sidelines, along with England players Declan Rice, Eberechi Eze, and Leah Williamson. International footballers Naomi Girma and Son Heung-min complete the line-up. Burberry uses this mix of actors, models, and athletes to frame football as a culture of spectators, players, friends, families, and weekend routines.

The collection draws from Thomas Burberry’s interest in outdoor pursuits and his belief in the unifying power of sport. Function sits at the root of the brand’s clothing, and the Fall 2026 pieces carry that idea into match day dressing. Trench coats, parkas, and Harrington jackets appear with a focus on lightness for journeys home and away. Polo shirts and scarves use the House Check, while the curved Primrose bag makes its debut with the new Knight Runner sneaker.

Burberry also develops its rainwear through expressive silhouettes. The Swarby trench jacket comes in lightweight tropical gabardine, while the Tillydrine trench coat uses fluid silk and a ruched, flared hem.

Terrace references continue through buttoned shirts, cashmere scarves, polos, Harrington jackets, and the Lancaster parka, all animated by the Burberry Check in house shades. Seasonal Madras check appears on hooded styles and overshirts, giving the collection lightweight layering for changing weather. Supple leather accents run through the Mayfair trench, Bloomsbury Harrington, and Westley workwear jacket.

Burberry traces the check accessory to 1967, when a buyer in the Paris store used coat lining to wrap luggage. For Fall 2026, the motif appears on the curved Primrose bag and the Pocket bag, an archive-inspired shape rooted in the 1980s, the decade that introduced the Knight stamp.

The Sloane suit brings tailoring into the football setting. Cut from British-milled wool in a classic single-breasted silhouette, it features textured pinstripes and a check silk tie. Lee sums up the campaign’s tone with a second remark: “This brand has been a real constant for football fans over the years. There’s a certain attitude to being a good sport that is very British and very Burberry.”
