Luxury house Dior will present its Fall 2027 collection at Trinity College Dublin on Friday, December 4, 2026. The event will mark the first Dior show in Ireland and Jonathan Anderson‘s first collection presentation in his home country.
The House selected Trinity College Dublin, Ireland’s oldest university, as the location for the show. Dior will reveal the collection near the university’s Old Library, an 18th-century building known as a major library and cultural institution.
The event carries personal significance for Anderson, who began his fashion career in Dublin. The designer described the opportunity to return to the city as “a dream come true” and called the presentation at Trinity College Dublin a real honour.
“I began my career in fashion in Dublin, so returning here feels deeply personal,” Anderson said. He also acknowledged the university’s cultural history and the significance of presenting his latest Dior collection there.
Dublin also holds an important connection to the House through Carmel Snow, the former editor-in-chief of American Harper’s Bazaar. Snow was born in the Irish capital and introduced the term “New Look” after viewing Christian Dior’s debut collection in February 1947.
Her description became closely associated with Dior’s first collection and its reception in fashion publishing. By selecting Dublin for the Fall 2027 show, the House brings that history into direct conversation with Anderson’s own professional beginnings in the city.
The Dublin presentation continues Dior’s long-standing practice of staging major runway shows outside Paris. The format dates to April 1950, when Christian Dior presented his Spring Summer collection at London’s Savoy Hotel. In November 1953, the House extended this approach internationally, sending models and garments to Japan for presentations in Kyoto, Osaka, Nagoya and Tokyo.
In recent years, international destination shows have become a regular part of Dior’s presentation calendar. The Trinity College event follows Cruise 2023 at Seville’s Plaza de España, Fall 2023 beside Mumbai’s Gateway of India and Cruise 2024 in Mexico City. Most recently, the House presented Cruise 2027 on the grounds of LACMA in Los Angeles.
The December presentation will give Dior its first official show in Ireland while bringing Anderson back to the place where his fashion career began.
