Bottega Veneta presents its Winter 2026 campaign, photographed and directed by Juergen Teller in Milan. Conceived as an artistic project, the series uses the city itself as a way to develop the ideas behind Louise Trotter’s collection, shifting between private interiors, organic architecture, open-air sculpture and natural settings.
AD CAMPAIGNS
The campaign follows the central idea that shaped Trotter’s Winter 2026 collection: Milan as a city defined by brutalism and sensuality. Bottega Veneta describes the season through the contrast between monumental structures and softer, intimate spaces, an observation that Trotter developed from her experience of living in the city. The house describes the collection as a study of daywear archetypes reshaped through curves and expressive details, with Milanese modes of dressing informing the season.

Teller carries that approach into the campaign through locations including Villa Terenzio and Fondazione Pagani. The photographs examine different sides of Milan without relying on a single architectural language. Heavy forms sit alongside environments with a more personal scale, while sculpture and vegetation introduce another dimension to the visual sequence.
The settings connect directly with Trotter’s interest in what Milan reveals gradually. Speaking about the Winter 2026 collection, the designer described the city as brutalist in its architecture and atmosphere, with sensuality often concealed within it. That idea also informed the collection presentation at Palazzo San Fedele, Bottega Veneta’s Milan headquarters, where softly lit red carpets, lacquered columns and Max Lamb’s 421 chairs installation established an intimate environment for the show.

The campaign translates the same thinking into photography. Teller focuses on the relationship between clothing, bodies and physical space, using Milan’s architecture and art to frame Trotter’s designs. The resulting images connect the scale of the city with the more tactile qualities of the collection, allowing each setting to contribute to how the clothes register on camera.
Winter 2026 also continues Bottega Veneta’s collaboration with Teller under Trotter. The photographer previously shot the house’s Summer 2026 campaign in Venice, where he photographed the collection in public and private locations throughout the city. That earlier project marked the beginning of Trotter’s seasonal campaign direction for the house, while the Winter chapter shifts the focus to Milan and the city that directly informed the collection.
