Tommy Hilfiger and Hiroshi Fujiwara, founder of fragment design, have announced their first collaborative collection, Tommy Hilfiger x FRGMT. The partnership draws inspiration from New York hip-hop culture during the 1990s, particularly the young people who adopted traditional American preppy clothing and adapted it to their own style.

The collaboration places particular importance on color, introducing a recognizable change to Tommy Hilfiger’s signature palette. Fujiwara replaces the brand’s familiar red with his preferred shade of light blue, giving the collection a different visual identity while maintaining its connection to classic American clothing.
The collection also draws on research into nautical signal flags from Tommy Hilfiger’s archives. These references informed the early development of the designs, connecting the brand’s established visual identity with the new collaborative direction. The process began in Japan, where the collaborators developed initial samples before continuing their work at Tommy Hilfiger’s headquarters in Amsterdam.
Outerwear introduces some of the collection’s most recognizable pieces. Denim-paneled jackets feature fragment design’s double thunderbolt emblem, incorporating Fujiwara’s familiar graphic symbol into the clothing.

A polka-dot field jacket offers another interpretation of traditional outerwear. The garment combines the practical character of a field jacket with a decorative pattern, reflecting the collection’s interest in updating established wardrobe categories.
Knitwear takes a similarly familiar direction through a cable-knit sweater. The design draws from traditional preppy clothing, introducing a garment closely associated with the American wardrobe that informs the collaboration. Its presence connects the collection to the styles that inspired New York street fashion during the 1990s.
The collaborators favor loose, relaxed cuts that accommodate oversized styling, reflecting the influence of streetwear on classic preppy garments. These proportions give the clothing a casual character and connect the collection’s references to the ways young people adapted traditional American styles during the period.
The partnership also references Tommy Hilfiger’s original 1985 design codes, using them as the foundation for Fujiwara’s interpretation. The Tommy Hilfiger x FRGMT collection launches on October 15, 2026, through the brand’s official website, selected retail locations, and global pop-ups. Members of the MYTOMMY program will receive early online access beginning October 14.
