On Monday, Sophie releases her third single from the glittering, shimmering disco-ball of an album that is Trip the Light Fantastic.’Today The Sun’s On Us’ is a sultry mid-tempo ballad, where Sophie sings about… well, we could tell you but let’s have Sophie explain it in her own words. She’s better at these kind of things.
‘The song is about giving yourself permission to enjoy things when the going is good,‘ Sophie says. She adds, ‘Despite the fact you know the good may not last forever.’
The track comes with a stunning video shot by music video director extraordinaire Sophie Muller who has previously shot videos for several of Sophie’s videos including, ‘Murder on the Dancefloor’, ‘Get Over You’ and ‘Catch You’.
