No doubt highlight of the show was Miss Naomi Campbell who showed up on the runway of the Dolce & Gabbana spring summer 2009 show. The opening show of Milan Fashion Week brought a lot of new and a slew of motives back from the past… gun motive is repeatably showing as print but also as jewelerry, and on a number of sport pants as well.
Fabrics and materials: Silk-twill, silk cotton, silk shantung, tie fabrics, cotton drill, silk jersey, pin striped wool and silk hemp. Silk twill with printed pyjama stripes or printed tie stripes. Leather, crocodile and suede.
Colours: All the hues from light blue to dark blue. All the natural hues from ecru to brown. Black and white.
Style: Relaxed: fitted on the top, loose on the bottom. Tie fabric suits characterised by a high tailoring level and by many style details, paired with bow ties or skinny ties. Fitted jackets with small shawl lapels, single or double breasted. Pyjama jackets with contrasting fabric piping. Loose pants with wide leg. Jogging pants in every fabric. Diagonally striped shirts. Chine jersey shirts with cotton collars and cuffs. Crocodile, suede or mixed-leather jackets. Oriental pyjamas for the evening, inspired by oriental kimonos, in white, black, sepia, grey or ivory and enriched by black Indian ink.
Accessories: Papillon and pochette. Elegant shoes made of mixes of leathers. Limited Edition sneakers in crocodile or mixed leathers. Python, crocodile, eel or patent leather sandals. Slippers made of different mixes of leathers and colours.
