Inspiration: The D&G; collection for SS 2009 is inspired by the relaxed, free and timeless elegance of the French Riviera and its unique style.
Fabrics and materials: Silk-twill, silk cotton, silk shantung, cotton drill, silk gauze poplin, seersucker, oxford, silk jersey. Nautical-inspired prints on cotton drill and silk gauze. Leather and suede.
Colours: White, navy blue and touches of red.
Style: Sharp yet relaxed. Peak lapel and shawl collar one and two button suites, both with contrasting stitching details, worn with shirts with contrasting cuffs, bow-ties and printed pochettes. Jersey vests, slim cut trousers. Shirts and Bermuda shorts with nautical-themed prints. Cotton knitwear to wear with a silk 'neck-scarf'. Leather, suede and cotton jackets.
