Designers at Pringle of Scotland come with a carefully selected set of looks for the Resort 2012 collection, perhaps in this case it is more appropriate to call it a Pre-Spring Summer line since we do not really see the Pringle girl on a cruise or a resort. Nevertheless it remains to be seen if the line is an introduction into the upcoming main season collection, with the modern cut and impeccable tailoring the brand also touches on the sentiment of androgyny.
With naming of designer Alistair Carr as the new design director the brand is certainly stepping into a new era, Alistair was the head of the show collections under Nicolas Ghesquière at Balenciaga and he took the position at Pringle of Scotland after the resignation of Claire Waight Keller. In the past known mainly for knitwear Pringle of Scotland has became a major presence on the fashion scene after the appointment of Clare as the head designer, big shoes for Alistair to fill in but she herself has taken a very serious position at Chloé.
