Staying true to the spirit of Theory label designer Olivier Theyskens presents an empowering spring summer 2014 collection during the recent New York Fashion Week. Classic pieces of women's attire get Theyskens' well recognized signature, alternative yet trendsetting. Besides the pastels of spring's red, blue and yellow, Olivier allows the often winter defining colours to dominate. Nevertheless the new designs stay true to the season, both in their form and use of materials. Light and often sheer fabrics take an important role. At the same time white is not out of the game entirely, shaping some of the most delicate pieces shown on New York Fashion Week runway.
