Vogue Turkey enlists top model Karmen Pedaru for their December 2013 cover story captured as a beauty session by the prolific fashion photographer Cuneyt Akeroglu. The always gorgeous Karmen was styled for the session by Konca Aykan.
Coming from Estonia, Karmen who was discovered back in 2005 in Tallinn is today represented by top modeling agencies around the globe. She is with IMG Models in New York, London, and Australia, while in Milan she's under the care of Elite Models. In Barcelona Karmen works with View Management, 2pm Model Management in Copenhagen, and Mega Model Agency in Hamburg.
I went to see a play in Estonia with my grandmother when I was fifteen years old, and afterward, I bumped into a woman who asked me if I wanted to be a model—she eventually became my agent. I’ve played soccer, handball, and basketball since I was five years old. I have great muscle memory so I don’t have to do much, but I like to run a lot, and when I’m on vacation, I do water sports and play tennis. – Karmen on how she was discovered and how she stays in shape for American Vogue.
