Up and coming designer Barbara Casasola was the guest womenswear designer at Pitti W 13 held in keeping with Pitti Uomo. Barbara has found a refreshing manner to celebrate the classic tailoring with the presented capsule collection 'Menswear For Women'.
Traditional menswear fabrics and a more masculine palette of grey, black and blue are offset by staple casasola silks and lip-toned pink, red and bordeaux shades. each piece was made in the host city, florence, and exclusively with italian fabrics. the essential house reference remains brazilian modernism. the results are pared-back and elegant silhouettes that mix a sense of power with sensuality. – from Barbara Casasola
