Alexander Wang with the third collection as creative director for Balenciaga, presents for autumn winter 2014-2015 season , technical and sporty elegance translated effectively with the signs of the style of the maison. The zips used as a decoration, are a smart and contemporary leitmotif, that accompanies the mesh-structured and rounded execution.
This time, Wang expressed his vision and his language throughout the sentiment of the brand, bringing in a more youthful and definitely more commercial result. The atmosphere and inspiration are somewhat futuristic. The element of futurism is especially seen in a thorough research of surfaces and volumes while maintaining the typical construction of a Balenciaga garment. No doubt a hint at a new creative vision. A formal and elegant sportswear , translated from the wool laminated with latex, kangaroo leather, marmot, polyester jersey, satin duchesse, wool lined with leather, crepe, knit needle-punched on the skin. Dresses in knitwear, outerwear fur and a set of jerseys that emphasize the shoulders detaching all took the Paris Fashion Week runway. An emphasis is given to the knitwear, specialty of the young designer, which in the collection for Balenciaga is embellished with embroidery and stones.
This collection is a confirmation of the great ability and skill of Alexander Wang, who has been able to meet the stylistic codes of the brand while giving it a personal touch this time .
