Prada takes its PRADA Journal initiative into its 2nd edition created in collaboration with famed publisher Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Editore. With a nod to label's inspiring eyewear collections the Prada Journal is created as a literary prize shaped for emerging literary voices. The Prada-Feltrinelli Prize honors talent around the globe. The latest aims to understand today's transformations and what those will bring in our lives tomorrow.
"What are the signs of a changing world? And what situations can we envision? Taking a good look at the details might give us the answer." – from PRADA
The award is now open and will end on 11th of June 2014, the winners are carefully selected by a panel of international renowned names in publishing.
Once again, the eyewear was the preferred starting point for this exploration of our universe in its many forms, producing ideas that pave the way to potential change. The line of inquiry launched in 2013 continues with the same progressive, inquisitive spirit that both Prada Feltrinelli and Luxottica are renowned for. The study extends its reach to encompass everything imaginable, everything thinkable, and every idea which, once both form and content have been delineated, can be written down. – from PRADA
Last year the initiative received over 1300 entries from 30 countries, the selected five winners attended exclusive event at Prada's Broadway Epicenter. The first issue of Prada Journal was published online December 12, 2013.
