Florals for Spring have never looked as coveted as in the new VALENTINO Spring Summer 2016 menswear collection brought to the Parisian runway by labels reigning creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli. The flowers intertwined with the summer birds, very soon vanish into graphics close to the motifs reminiscent of the native Americans, to be replaced on the runway with a mix of camouflaged all-black outfits.
For the Men’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli tell a completely new story made of travels that come to life through recurrent customization. The punk rocker trench coat is paired up with the Hawaiian lei made with leather laces and denim jeans with a Japanese vibe. Slip-ons turn into espadrilles, sneakers are embroidered, and guitar straps embellish shoes and backpacks. The result focuses on the man and his inalienable individuality. – from VALENTINO
