Gabriel Vielma took the London Fashion Week to present his Fall Winter 16 collection. The designer combines colour, texture and shape with meticulous cutting skills to create unique and stunning designs of structured elegance blended with feminine empowerment.
FALL WINTER 2016 WOMENSWEAR COLLECTIONS
Inspired by the sea, Gabriel Vielma has looked to vintage sailor images, navigation maps, ocean flora and fauna and Wes Anderson’s film ‘The Life Aquatic’ to create a striking and bold collection for Autumn/Winter 2016. Sailors’ braids inspire the intricate suede detailing on outerwear and nautical knots adorn tops and dresses in the collection. Waving coral frills are reflected in ruffles and pleats in green amazon leather and navy wool. Navigation map contours and flocks of seabirds are the motifs behind Gabriel’s first foray into knitwear with dresses and sweaters in bold tones of green and electric blue complemented by warm shades of saffron. From the depths of the ocean floor to birds circling the coastline, Gabriel Vielma Autumn/Winter 2016 is a journey not to be missed. – from Gabriel Vielma
