A close look of the new Belstaff Fall Winter 2016 womenswear collection recently presented during London Fashion Week. The British brand now with its womenswear division under the helm of Delphine Ninous. Appointed as the Vice President of Women’s Design, Ninous is now in charge of the main womenswear line’s artistic direction. With shifts on the British modelling scene when luxury brands such as Burberry have their eye on the high street market, Belstaff becomes one of the top brands to watch. Furthermore the latest collection shows Ninous is pushing Belstaff in the right direction teaming up with the label’s chief executive office Gavin Haig.
After the designer’s first collection debuting exactly a year ago with the 2015 line the infusion of a fashion sentiment is clearly visible. Ninou held previous positions at women’s departments at Isabel Marant, Diane Von Furstenberg as well as Christian Lacroix and Paul & Joe. The new collection design is also going hand in hand with the men’s collection designed by Frederik Dyhr and his team who holds the position of vice president of menswear design.

“We were inspired by female pioneers venturing into the earth’s most bleak and hard-to-reach locations in the most challenging of conditions. Protection from the elements, warmth and comfort are key themes, as are the stylistic influences derived from these lands and the animals and people that inhabit them.” – said Delphine Ninous
