FALL WINTER 2016 WOMENSWEAR COLLECTIONS
In the middle of the journey… Leitmotiv found itself in a coloured jungle. In a script of modern art (Mondrian), two pages of a book open and the narration begins. The story’s guide is a hart: the icon of Leitmotiv and a symbol of purity and mobility (now he’s here, but later, who knows where…). The prints portray a natural setting where everything is possible, a representation that is highly symbolic of a humanity exalted by a fairytale imagination (Phaedrus). A crowned swan (pain that has been transformed into beauty) appears from behind lush blossoms. Rabbits (sexual ardour) hop about among mushrooms (life energy), shooting stars into the sky that shine above the lights of a glittering world. And all the while, butterflies fly (rebirth). Digital images are set alongside real ones, even in black and white: in a balanced cohabitation of genres. The little animals of this wonderland disappear and then magically reappear in the embroidered lace of the playful yet most exquisite of garments. The new Leitmotiv has been renamed “fashion turns to fairytales”. – from Leitmotiv
