Take a look at Jitrois‘ new video celebrating it’s Spring Summer 2017 womenswear collection named Another World. Inverting tattoos into delicate embroideries of suede, leather, organza onto tulle, as if it projects onto the skin, the collection offers a vision of an independent yet mysterious women.
Beyond the deconstruction of gender and the immediacy of see-now-buy-now, Jitrois keeps challenging temporality and the social construction of time and place. Rejecting fast fashion, and its mercantile ambitions, Jitrois continues to place quality and sustainability at the heart of its designs. Creative director, Jean-Claude Jitrois, emphasises the relationship between the skin and the leather. Always in conversation with various artists, from the past to nowadays, from music to dance, from pop art to visual 3d art. Jitrois is now working as a big creative studio to highlight the quintessence of its DNA. – from Jitrois
