FALL WINTER 2017/18 WOMENSWEAR COLLECTIONS
It’s 5am, are you in paradise or gripped by paranoia? Like most good nights nights out, this collection has measures of both. For AW17 Ashley Williams presents clothes to sneak out of parties in. Not feeling the small talk? A full tracksuit allows you to conspicuously slip away at any time of the day or night. Soft jersey and warm wool is perfectly suited to bored guests quietly burying themselves under layers of foliage. For the less anti-social, there’s slick streetwear heavily inspired by the Paninaro from 1980’s Milan. Touches of americana meet puffa jackets, leather loafers and smart denim. Western fringing sits alongside hand-woven Scottish tartan, while heavy knits and bomber jackets return as staple pieces. The super constructed nature of sports casual comes through in this blending of references, mirrored in a soundtrack of tranquil birdsong (paradise) and the death scene from Watership Down (paranoia, obviously).
