FALL WINTER 2017/18 WOMENSWEAR COLLECTIONS
Pushing the envelope of femininity and embellishment in a modern way, Jourden goes baroque for this Fall Winter 2017 season. But as exuberant as some of the fabrics, volumes and clothes are, the collection – plumped with fancy, fun combinations – stays rooted in reality. Swirling lacy motifs embroidered on tulle create a dazzling impact on white or cobalt blue dresses and skirts, with sculptural volumes coming from bold undulating ruffles. Delicate and artsy lace trims trace the hems and necklines of structured slip dresses and minis in classic or jeweled tones. A rich psychedelic vibe pulses in the bold metallic paisley fabrics used on quilted robe coats, dresses and skirts cinched with a metallic lace frill, with volumes created from the use of two slightly different lengths at theback and front. A metallic shimmer animates the horizontal corduroy texture of cocktail dresses and skirts combined with laminated lace, or the iridescent surface of the signature Jourden jean jacket shape worn with micro shorts or cropped pants trimmed with oversized crochet lace. – from Jourden
