Sylvio Giardina presented his Fall Winter 2017/18 Couture collection HC #01 in collaboration with Altaroma during the fashion week. Seven years after the foundation of the brand that saw his affirmation in the creation of a prêt-à-porter and a jewelry line, Giardina returns to his first passion – the Haute Couture.
For the Fall/ Winter 17-18 collection, Sylvio Giardina is inspired by the immense unknown world of insects, fascinated by the strangest shapes and boldest colors. The fabrics of the collection have been specially designed by the designer and made of precious thread embroidery that come from a geometric art Déco inspiration – using black and white – with chiné effects on silk satin which are emulating the shades of butterfly wings. Delicate thread embroideries give life to unusual patterns that imitate knitwear. The duchess combined with light padding and then embroidered creates sculptural effects that draw on necklines and capes wings of imaginary insects. – from Sylvio Giardina
