Babyghost presents the fall/winter 2017 collection in New York. This season was inspired by the collection of folktales “One Thousand and One Nights”. For one vignette, they imagined a band of British tailors who rebel against their master and begin sewing punk uniforms for events at the pub. In another, the BABYGHOST girl falls in love with a beautiful boy from a foreign land, whom she loves with all her heart, but alas cannot overcome their language barrier, and so paints all her hearts black. Another in the 16ème arrondissement, a pair of siblings plot their escape from a father who locks them in their room every evening; they steal their mother’s old disco garments, repurposed under black, thick cable knits embellished with vintage broaches, and escape into the Parisian club scene on a cold, November night.
