Giorgio Armani presented his Fall Winter 2018 collection during the ongoing Milan Fashion Week. Exploring the atmosphere of the moment, but also looking back to the ’80 power women dressing, Armani delivered simple and sophisticated collection free from any unnecessary elements.

I’ve always seen my work as a reaction to the times we live, because clothes affect behaviours and attitudes. For this season, I imagined a rich, boundless collection, inspired by many cultures as an ode to coexistence as opposed to exclusion. The unifying element is my taste for sophisticated simplicity. – Giorgio Armani
Boundless explorations capture the atmosphere of the moment. Signs, cross-references and echoes mingle and merge in a bold signature. Borders disappear in a lively, pulsating harmony. The collection asserts the sophisticated simplicity of the Armani ethos, embracing elements of other cultures and sublimating them into elegant abstractions. Shapes are essential, pure and elongated: a slender, fluid silhouette, with legs flashing occasionally. Long overcoats, compact jackets, cropped loose trousers, asymmetric skirts swarming pictorial motifs and pure dresses are combined freely yet precisely. Accessories and jewellery add other notes and further accents. The palette of black and neutral tones — enlivened by bright touches of red and metallic flashes — blends the different elements into an harmonious whole that is free from constrictions and exquisitely feminine. – from Giorgio Armani
