Mysterious Creatures at GUCCI FW18 Show

Gucci presented its Fall Winter 2018 collection during the first day of  Milan Fashion Week in a brand’s Milan headquarters, modelled after an operating room. Models walked the runway carrying the exact replicas of their own heads, dragon-like creatures, snakes, as well as the lot of unusual headwear.

FALL WINTER 2018.19 COLLECTION

The concept reflects the work of a designer—the act of cutting, splicing and reconstructing materials and fabrics to create a new personality and identity with them. The materials used are typical of an operating room and the environment around it: PVC on the walls and floors, fire doors with panic-bars, LED lamps, and plastic chairs like those in a waiting room. The LED lighting is stark, white and blinding. – from Gucci
