PRE-FALL 2018 COLLECTIONS
Giorgio Armani’s signature dualism is renewed and reasserted in a harmony of contrasts. Floral motifs are enhanced by Kidassia and Mongolian fur details; the nocturnal black palette is lit up with pale neutral sparks. Sensuality comes through in tactile textures: flocked velour, snakeskin, heavy satin, and velvet. Small, precise jackets are paired with flowing trousers. Double-layered sharp overcoats reveal the slim Bermudas underneath. Dresses slide over the body, letting the legs show through. Small-heeled, pointed booties and velvet or leather bags, conceived as essential design objects, complete the looks. The result: a seductive idea of restraint, full of nuances. – from Giorgio Armani
