Discover GCDS‘ Spring Summer 2019 The Futuro Beach Collection that explores the era we are living in – with no real values, and the idea of a future where quality actually matters, presented on Saturday, September 22nd, during the ongoing Milan Fashion Week. For the collection GCDS collaborated with Onitsuka Tiger, one of the oldest shoe companies in Japan, and with Pokemon.
SPRING SUMMER 2019 COLLECTIONS
“The Futuro Beach collection is a mixture of iconic pieces that might last till the end of time or maybe not. Many are the technical fabrics, where the Made in Italy takes its start. Embroideries of 50’s products, now extincted, iconic action figures from what it was japan are mixed with orange and black organza bedazzle by precious crystal Hotfix and excessive jewellery.
A telephone handset and fruits are now hanging like precious jewellery; who needs gold when there’s nothing to buy anymore? This future is not about aliens and plastic material, it’s about quality and the time last value it gives to Made in Italy and its craftsmanship. What if in this future, that doesn’t seem so far away, what we all need is just to go back in time and to the things we forgot?“
