Discover palmer//harding Spring Summer 2019 Collection presented on September 17th, during the ongoing London Fashion Week. Mixing the masculine and feminine elements, the collection expresses duality in palmer//harding’s design approach as well as the complex nature of their woman. The colour palette is rich and deep in contrast, with pops of bright red, forest greens, dusty blues and chartreuse yellows on a foundation of navy and white.
SPRING SUMMER 2019 COLLECTIONS
For spring summer 2019, palmer//harding conjure up a heroine who is determined to prevail. She doesn’t nurture anyone’s ego. And she’s not going to be the one to break. There’s a mystery that surrounds her, but inwardly, her intentions couldn’t be more clear. Everyone has a story to tell.
The runway collection is an amalgamation of both the spring 2019 and summer 2019 collections. Shirts, blouses, outerwear, tailoring, dresses, skirts, trousers and knitwear balance ruffles and frills with harness details, lingerie references with tailoring, and cinched waists with volume – a mixture of masculine and feminine elements. They all express palmer//harding’s duality in their design approach as well as the complex nature of their woman, in this case one who is firmly in charge of her own narrative. Shirts, blouses and dresses also feature elements such as “cold shoulder” details, side slits and architectural sleeves. Trousers are high-waisted with a soft tapering leg, some with peplum detailing, or are functionally wide and casual. Skirts also have peplum detailing or asymmetry with artful draping. Outerwear takes its cues from the classic trench and languid robes, incorporating harness detailing. Jackets are cut with a curvilinear strength and sporty anoraks are infused with airy volume. – from palmer//harding
