French Deal presented Spring Summer 2020 collection on Sunday June 23rd, during the recently finished Paris Fashion Week.
SPRING SUMMER 2020 MENSWEAR COLLECTIONS
The origin of the Baoule people is based on Queen Abla Pokou’s devotion to her people in the mid-18th century. Abla Pokou, around 1750, decided to leave Ghana with her people in order to offer them protection and happiness. She then headed west, and began long days of walking to reach a peaceful land.
Raw, intense, the colours of the traditional loincloths dress the sleeves and torsos of the pieces in Volume 4, alongside guipures from Italy and French leather. These ancestral crafts tell the story of the Baoule people and the dedication of their queen, Abla Pokou. The brand, which never does things by halves, takes advantage of this collection to pay tribute to women, who watch, protect and guide French Deal men with kindness and intelligence. – from French Deal
