Discover Pronounce‘s Spring Summer 2020 collection inspired by designer’s visit to Lintong, Xi’an in China – the place where terracotta warriors were found, presented on Wednesday June 12th during the 30th edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo.
SPRING SUMMER 2020 MENSWEAR COLLECTIONS
“Mongolian hand knitted techniques, hand treatment washed denim, tie-dye, woven fabrics and eco prints have also featured in the collection. The mini beading (bamboo: bambusa multiplex), weaving techniques from Suzhou China have also been introduced throughout. In addition, contemporary Mao suits have been continued and developed.
The conceptual collaboration with the CONVERSE Jack Purcell shoes have also featured in the show. This is the first time the ‘PRONOUNCE X CONVERSE’ collaboration has been launched internationally, which explores the process of discovery and excavation. Plastic film and a mesh upper decorative design reflects the earthly feeling of mining and excavation work. The metallic element, on the other hand, shows the artisans’ superb job in cutting and digging out unearthed debris.“
