With the presentation of NEONYT fashion show, a Spring Summer 2020 collection, that was focused on denim in diverse versions and sustainability, was showcased. Sustainable denim pieces have been vividly mixed and matched with multi- brand looks in the most diverse styles, for instance bohemian, western, motorcycle and skater influences clearly shone through. In addition to this creative fusion, streetwear, elegant, folklore, but also rather sporty and techno styles could be noticed. The use of denim in different versions played a central role. This fabric was paired with leather, silk, patchwork and layering. The show can be understood as a platform of the NEONYT fair, belonging to the so- called “Messe Frankfurt“. The show has been directed by Claudia Hofmann, stylist and Co-Founder of Fashion Council Germany.

Thus, the colour-palette was dominated by denim blue. Moreover several timeless classics appeared various times, for example pewter, night black, sheer white and cognac. That choice contributed to the very wearable, urban- chic character of these looks. However, for the friends and fans of vibrant colours among you, this show also had a lot to offer: eye- popping orange, bold scarlet, outstanding azure blue and refreshing turquoise built very interesting highlights. In some menswear looks, a bunch of different, vibrant colours were vividly mixed and matched together. In addition to some eye- catching prints, these looks felt like a celebration of life in all its facets. Summertime, and the living is easy….

The presenting partners of the show were Dr. Hauschka, Lenzing and Oekotex. The show felt like a celebration of sustainability and various denim looks, it felt very inspiring. It invoked the audience to think twice what they are buying, which is, in our economical times, certainly a necessary thought and step in the right direction.
