Fleabag / Killing Eve creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge lands the cover story of American Vogue Magazine‘s December 2019 edition captured by fashion photographer Ethan James Green. In charge of styling was fashion editor Tonne Goodman, with beauty from hair stylist Orlando Pita, and makeup artist Aaron de Mey.
For the session Phoebe is wearing selected pieces from top brands such as Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello, Dries Van Noten, Nikos Koulis, Alexander McQueen, Christopher Kane, A La Vieille Russie, Polo Ralph Lauren, Balenciaga, Cartier, and Marc Jacobs.
“I feel like making a joke is a risk in any situation, which is why I love people that try. When you meet someone, for me anyway, working out what makes them laugh is one of the things that helps you figure out who they are. You know those things that humans can do that are just totally free? Like, outside of what clothes you wear, or what restaurant you’re at, or what your upbringing was, or anything. It’s just like sex is two naked people, a thing that people do, that happens everywhere all over the world. And what’s glorious is that you realize that you’re completely naked and you’ve used nothing, you’ve just used each other. And that’s beautiful.” – Waller-Bridge for Vogue US.
