Top model Kaia Gerber stars in Jimmy Choo‘s Spring Summer 2020 campaign captured by fashion photographer Craig McDean. In charge of styling was Melanie Ward, with beauty from hair stylist Orlando Pita, and makeup artist Dick Page.
“The collection boldly roams through animal print, an intrinsic part of the brand’s design DNA reiterated and returned to again and again. A menagerie of leopard, zebra and snakeskin are coloured, energised and combined in brave and unexpected juxtapositions. A heightened view of beauty, broadly familiar yet sharply new.
The HAWKE gives a graphicism to natural markings: Zebra and leopard rendered monochrome reminiscent of Sixties Op Art, printed on richly textural hair-calf and contrasted with shots of go-faster neon in a chisel-toed shape. Combined animal prints become a surreal cross-pollination of species, patch worked, pieced and played with across the IMPALA sneaker.“
