Chinese fashion designer Angel Chen presented her first ever virtual runway bringing a tech-oriented and futuristic approach for her Fall Winter 2020.21 collection.
FALL WINTER 2020.21 COLLECTIONS
Inspired by the movie Akira, the concept of the show is divided in five different creative scenes made possible by unprecedented coming together of fashion and technology in this virtual show.
Fusion of tech and apparel design lies underneath this new ANGEL CHEN collection, and overall drives the brand’s activities. Computer graphics are applied in the production of a futuristic virtual show, and brings the collection to life; Pandora’s box unleashes dazzling glitter from ANGEL CHEN’s neon lights. The movie “Akira” is set in the year of 2020. Young protagonists whose energy reminds people of hope for a better future is not dead under the ruins of the cyberpunk city. Rebirth and a better future will be powered by the imagination and creative abilities of mankind. – from Angel Chen
