Discover Sharon Wauchob‘s Spring Summer 2021 Dream Collection, that was inspired by dreaming and the hopeful “What if…” question, it celebrates the fun and escapism of fashion. The collection also explores brands archives. Sharon presented the latest collection by private appointment and with the lookbook featuring the striking Milly Mason captured by fashion photographer James Cochrane, as part of the ongoing London Fashion Week.
SPRING SUMMER 2021 WOMENSWEAR COLLECTION
Fashion is a great leveller for me, and working and creating the collection allows me to be absorbed and occupied. I tend to focus on what women will want to relate to next year—and how we’ll want to relate to ourselves and one another. Right now, this feels like a challenge more than ever. We’ve always had a global customer, but that’s been on my mind more than ever, too. Not everyone is coming from a European or western perspective; there are nuanced differences.
I feel women in general, though, want pieces that will last; they’re less interested in seasonal trends, and want to invest in pieces with longevity. But at the same time, you want to have those little surprises—like a silk shirt with hand-fringed detail along the seams—to make a piece feel special. We designed our ‘Black Crushed’ trench to be worn anywhere, but the pleating applied at the end of the process gives it a more unique character. – Sharon Wauchob
