Fashion house Jimmy Choo presented their Spring 2021 womenswear collection, that celebrates the notion of contradictory glamour. The collection muse is fashion and music icon Grace Jones with her power and confidence, strength and creativity – she is a real face of contradictory glamour. The collection finds glamour in unexpected contradictions – natural materials mixed with techno fabrics, a vibrant clash of colours, pearls as decoration for daywear. The ‘90s Chic looks focus on sharpness and simplicity, with mid-height heels and flats expressing movement and energy, to capture spirit of the decade.
This is a collection born out of reflection that sums up what we do best honouring our DNA. It is Confident, Glamorous and Daring. I wanted to celebrate where we came from and to assert what we mean not to our woman but to our women. Just as there isn’t one type of Jimmy Choo woman, there isn’t one meaning to Jimmy Choo. We are about beautiful contradictions – a contradictory glamour.
