I feel lucky that my local neighborhood is Paris. – says Julie de Libran in collection notes, feeling blessed because in this trying year, when we have been forced to stay close to home, she got to rediscover Paris again.
For her Spring Summer 2021 Couture collection, de Libran collaborated with the some of the great Paris houses, such as Eres, Charvet, and Goossens, respectively famous for lingerie, shirt making, and costume jewelry. She said she have known these names for years, but she discovered new ways to use their unique savoir faire to create her own silhouettes.
COUTURE COLLECTIONS

I started my own label with a vision for a single dress. With this collection I have gone further. The new garments woven out of shirting and lace can be worn alone, but they lend themselves to multi-layering with other items from the closet, my own, your own, or anybody else’s. The idea is for a woman to embellish her own mood, dressing more for herself than for imagined others.
However, my collections have evolved, my core design principles have not changed. I am against wastefulness and believe that clothes should be timeless and made to last. As with past collections, I have sourced my fabrics from leftover material that would otherwise be discarded, and all models are in numbered limited editions and One of a kind Couture pieces. – says Founder & Artistic Director Julie de Libran
