Fashion brand SPORTMAX presented their Pre-Fall 2021 Collection, that takes a journey through time from 1920 to 2020, visiting four cities New York, Paris, Berlin and Shanghai. Sportmax pays tribute to an era of rebirth and effervescence, and it’s culture and style influences that still resonate today. The collection is a modern reinterpretation of Twenties’ carefree sensuality inspired by the era’s emancipated women. It celebrates Twenties’ icons such as Joséphine Baker, Claude Cahun and Sonia Delaunay.

“New Sportmax references emerge from the Jazz Age: the gaiety of the Charleston, the contamination between the East and the West and the vivacity of the colors and prints. Coats take center stage, bringing to the fore multiple souls from the masculine look of fabrics, to double breasted jackets with golden buttons, as well as the pump-up-thevolume faux furs. Velvet plays an integral role, expressed through various styles including body-embracing dresses, knitwear, maxi shirts, trousers flowing in soft proportions and a flocked denim trench coat embossed with a velvet effect.
Elsewhere, leather festoons the body with sinuous rigor. See-through, thin straps seduce the back and intersect across a longuette dress. Like knitwear crafted with exquisite transparencies, the intricacies of Art Déco patterns echo throughout the collection. Colors are solid and precise: from mustard to red, from green to blue and from violet to yellow and to burgundy. Animalier print punctuates throughout splashed onto jackets, boots, platform sandals and on fitted tops and vests.” – From Sportmax
