Discover MARKGONG Fall Winter 2021.22 Chapter 6 Collection, that celebrates the past as well as transition to the new, presented with a fashion film directed by Harry Wang, as part of Shanghai Fashion Week. The collection tells a metamorphic story of a playful and confident young woman, and re-explores brand’s codes.
Fashion photographer Hekai Tuoyi captured the lookbook featuring models Jin Chun, Sijia Kang, and Huan Zhou. In charge of styling was Gaultier Desandre Navarre, with art direction from Cloe Dong. Beauty is work of hair stylist Issac Yu, and makeup artist Valentina Li.

“Balancing the explorative nature of his previous collections, this season is a transitional affirmation of the brand’s codes. Hiking boots, familiar cut out details and our relation to nature, nods to past references. In a comfortable play on polarity, natural and soft materials – cashmere, suede, leather – co-exist with bold tailoring and affirmative cuts. Neutral and re-assuring colors – grey, taupe, beige – coincide with warm and fiery yellows, oranges and reds. A collection highlight – Dresses and skirts made of handstitched individual panels or organic fabrics – affirms past experiences coming together create a balanced entity.” – from Markgong
