Saint Laurent presents yet another collection away from the traditional fashion week calendars – this time Anthony Vaccarello and his team had to Venice to uncover the Saint Laurent Menswear Spring Summer 2022 collection.
Vaccarello and his team have presented 59 new looks inspired by YSL instantly recognizable sentiment, drawing from houses historic archives.
To present the collection in Venice, currently the home of Architectural Biennial Exhibition, Saint Laurent teamed up with artist Doug Aitken. The project tittle Green Lens was commissioned by maison’s creative director Anthony Vaccarello.

“Green Lens sparks dialogue that links the natural landscape with our future. In the 21st-century, we look toward to the future and how to harmonize with the natural environment, striving to create a new balanced world. We seek an environment where nature is empowered again, creativity is championed, and the weight of the past lifts, becoming fluid and inspiring. In concomitance with Biennale of Architecture, the artwork will be accessible until the end of July, like a liquid architecture,
creating a fully immersive environment. The idea is to encourage all visitors to look towards a positive view of the future, a synergy where natural landscape and innovation merge,” shares Saint Laurent team talking about the project.
The baroque moments of the collection masterfully blend with Venezia as the location of the runway show setting up the statement behind the design into an even stronger perspective.
