Discover the Junya Watananbe Spring Summer 2022 womenswear collection “Eastern Reminiscence“, inspired by travel photos from Asian countries. This season, the Japanese fashion designer combined the Eastern and Western influences, though collaborations with Asian artists and American denim giant Levi’s.
Inspired by the collection of images by British photographer Jamie Hawkesworth, captured in 2019 in Bhutan, India, and Kashmir, the designer became nostalgic for Asia.
I felt the pure heart of the people through the photographs of Jamie Hawkesworth’s trip to Bhutan, India and Kashmir, and became nostalgic for Asia. This collection is an expression of this sentiment.
