Situated on the coast of northeastern Spain, on the beautiful Mediterranean Sea, Barcelona is a metropole which merges culture, history and economy. The town’s rich offer of museums, landmarks, historic buildings and mesmerizing monuments is maybe the main reason this city is such a popular tourist base.

Searching for the perfect stay in the city centre and near the amazing architectural works of one and only Antoni Gaudi, we’ve chosen the magnificent Sir Victor Hotel, overlooking the Gaudi’s Casa Milà (La Pedrera). A part of SIR Hotels collection, Sir Victor Hotel brings a new meaning to the city’s modernist lifestyle.

Set in the walking distance of one of the most famous shopping streets in Barcelona Passeig de Gràcia offering the world’s most famous clothing brands and the biggest street in Barcelona, Avinguda Diagonal, Sir Victor is at the center of all events. The five star hotel is situated in the beautiful Modernist district overlooking Gaudi’s masterpiece La Pedrera, and just a short walk from Casa Batlló. Needless to say that the hotel is surrounded by the beautiful caffes and restaurants which offer the best of Catalan and Spanish cusine.

The Story

Sir Victor Hotel was founded in 2019, by Amsterdam-based Sir Hotels boutique hotel collection and it’s one of the newest hotels in the collection. All of the hotels in the group are managed and created by the award-winning hotel development and management company Sircle Collection. This amazing hotel is also a part of Design Hotels, a company that comprises more than 300 design-driven and culturaly-rooted hotels around the world.

“It’s crucial that our properties reflect our ethos of bringing locally inspired guest experiences to dynamic locations.” – Liran Wizman, founder and owner of Sircle Collection

The hotel got his name from 19th-century Catalan writer Víctor Català, actually a woman, Caterina Albert i Paradís, who was forced to change her name in order to get published.

The hotel is set in the building designed by local architecture firm Capella Garcia, and they bring a contemporary take on Barcelona’s traditional architecture, while respecting the setting and town’s unique architecture.

Inspired by the seaside and the mountains, interior design and architecture studio Baranowitz + Kronenberg turned the previous hotel Omm to a stunning cultural destination. The design was also inspired by the Catalan writer Victor Català, and bringing the feminine through the masculine energy. The designers tried to bring a lot of Catalan details and crafts without suffocating the rest of design elements. The neutral color palette and furniture by brands like B&B Italia, Cassina and nanimarquina create a timeless and sophisticated setting.
