The Story
Sir Victor Hotel was founded in 2019, by Amsterdam-based Sir Hotels boutique hotel collection and it’s one of the newest hotels in the collection. “It’s crucial that our properties reflect our ethos of bringing locally inspired guest experiences to dynamic locations.” – Liran Wizman, founder and owner of Sircle Collection
The hotel got his name from 19th-century Catalan writer Víctor Català, actually a woman, Caterina Albert i Paradís, who was forced to change her name in order to get published.
Design
The hotel is set in the building designed by local architecture firm Capella Garcia, and they bring a contemporary take on Barcelona’s traditional architecture, while respecting the setting and town’s unique architecture.
Inspired by the seaside and the mountains, interior design and architecture studio Baranowitz + Kronenberg turned the previous hotel Omm to a stunning cultural destination. The design was also inspired by the Catalan writer Victor Català, and bringing the feminine through the masculine energy. The designers tried to bring a lot of Catalan details and crafts without suffocating the rest of design elements. The neutral color palette and furniture by brands like B&B Italia, Cassina and nanimarquina create a timeless and sophisticated setting.
